Every summer, Chena transforms into a true temple of music, conviviality, and discovery. From Friday to Sunday, Décibulles brings together thousands of festival-goers from all over France to experience a festive interlude in the heart of the Villé Valley.
But Décibulles is not just about quality programming. It is above all a human adventure that has lasted for more than thirty years.
The story of a festival that has become unmissable
The story begins in 1992 when a group of friends imagined an event that reflected their personalities. Hesitating between organizing a music festival or a beer festival, they finally decided… to combine the two. The decibels of music then met the bubbles of beer: Décibulles was born.
From 700 festival-goers at its first edition, the festival has grown over the years into the largest open-air contemporary music festival in Alsace, now welcoming nearly 36,000 attendees. It is supported by 178 members and over 1,600 volunteers who dedicate thousands of hours each year to bringing this collective adventure to life.
Since 2003, the festival has found its home at Chena, in Neuve-Église. With its sunsets over the Villé Valley and the Vosges mountains as a backdrop, the site contributes greatly to the magic of the event.
A program that has made the festival famous
If Décibulles attracts so many people every year, it is also thanks to a program that skillfully mixes big headliners, must-see artists of the moment and the revelations of tomorrow.
Over the years, the Main Stage has hosted artists such as Franz Ferdinand, Woodkid, Jain, IAM, Dub Inc, M83, Tryo, Catherine Ringer, Tiakola, Niska, La Femme, Wax Tailor, and Parov Stelar. Meanwhile, the Bandstand has become a meeting place for curious newcomers, often the site of discovery for artists who will make a name for themselves a few years later. And let's not forget the street art performances that, between concerts, provide a welcome dose of surprises, humor, and poetry.

The festival also makes it a point of honor to promote producers from the Villé Valley, to limit its environmental impact, and to champion a more humane vision of culture.
