Neuve-Eglise Theatre (TNE)
The Théâtre de Neuve-Eglise (TNE) is pleased to welcome you back this year, and to present a comedy by Christian Roth, based on "Pas de panique, y a le feu!" by Gilbert Leriche, entitled: "Kenn Panik s'brannt!"
Summary :
Adopted at birth by an American family, Claude learns that his biological family is among the wealthiest in France.
Curious and determined to discover his origins, he decides to go to France.
Barely having set foot in France, he is kidnapped by men who mistake him for Alain, his twin brother. In fact, absolutely no one knows that Alain has a twin brother! Their mother, Jeanne Richilitt, a widowed and manipulative woman, has carefully concealed this truth to protect the family inheritance.
Misunderstandings pile up: following a series of farcical escapes, the kidnappers, themselves true amateurs, alternate between capturing Claude and Alain, without realizing that they are dealing with two different people, while the mother, stingy and implacable, persists in not paying the ransom.
But will Gérard, Alain's friend, manage to overcome his cowardice to help the two brothers escape from this gang of bunglers?
The only thing that is certain is that nothing is less certain…
