Triembach au Val
Eglise Saint-Christophe
Triembach-au-Val remained a dependency of Villé for a long time. A first chapel was built in the 16th century, already dedicated to Saint Christopher. The keystone, dated 1619 and bearing a coat of arms (a leafy branch, a stylized wave, and a Greek cross), certainly comes from this chapel, which was rebuilt or enlarged before the outbreak of the Thirty Years' War. The current church dates back to 1777, while Triembach only became a parish in 1803. The church is dedicated to Saint Christopher, the patron saint of travelers and the helper saint who protects against sudden death.
