The recipe for Apfchefe …Achrpfel …. arfchpch…… apple fritters!

Let's try a recipe today that's much easier to make than the name of these doughnuts is easy to pronounce! Apfelkiechle!

These doughnuts are an Alsatian specialty and are very easy to make… even easier to eat!

To make this recipe you will need:

-4 Apples

-2 Eggs

-200 g of flour

-20g of caster sugar (+100g for after cooking)

-25 cl of milk

-1 teaspoon of cinnamon

-Oil

Step 1.

In a bowl, mix the eggs and 20g of sugar.

Next you add the flour and gradually, the milk.

Step 2.

Peel the apples and cut them into slices about 0,5cm thick.

Dip the apple slices in the batter.

 

Step 3.

Heat some oil in a pan and brown your apfelkiechle for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Mix the remaining sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle this mixture over your doughnuts!

 

All you have to do is enjoy them while they're still warm.

These doughnuts are a real treat after a good vegetable soup!
