This summer, the tourist office has implemented a series of economic recovery actions for the valley, allowing local businesses, artisans and producers to be showcased in the aftermath of the health crisis.
Initially, stimulus vouchers were introduced in early July, allowing people to buy a €12 voucher for €10 at numerous partner businesses. A thousand vouchers were sold and spent in the valley, generating a total of €12,000 for the various merchants.
The surprise box concept was launched in August. The idea is simple: each month, a box containing various products made in the valley by our local producers and artisans is available at the tourist office. The aim is to showcase the valley's producers, raise their profile by giving visibility to their work, and make their products accessible by creating this unique connection between producer and consumer.
Available every month at the tourist office for €29, with a retail cost ranging from €35 to €42, it includes 5 to 7 artisanal or gourmet products to treat yourself or give as a gift.
The August box offered 6 products including 2 craft beers from the Güth microbrewery, a monoi scented candle from Eclats de senteurs, a 750g jar of flower honey from Rucher du Luttenbach, a violet-raspberry syrup concocted by Délices de Joséphine as well as a unique trivet created especially for the occasion at Fab Lab l'Inspirateur.
Unusual boxes are also being prepared, such as the 'special birth' box, which will be offered at a price of €34 and will offer treats to delight the parents and useful creations for the newborn!
Treat yourself to a surprise box, a great way to support your local businesses combined with the pleasure of rediscovering local products!
